About Us
Humble beginnings
Our roots go back to 1942, when Donald Pierce took over the family dairy farm in rural NW Ohio, naming it Piercehaven Dairy. Life on a dairy farm is not easy - hard work from before sunrise to after sunset, 365 days a year.
Eventually, the small dairy was shuttered, the family farm sold, and the name Piercehaven long forgotten....until 1999 when Don's grandson, L.D. Pierce, created Piercehaven Consulting.
No longer associated with a dairy farm, Piercehaven Consulting was rebranded as Piercehaven LLC™ and is a registered consulting engineering firm, providing environmental and sustainability services throughout the state of Ohio.
The logo for Piercehaven comes from a childhood drawing created by L.D. Pierce. It is a basic line drawing of the original barn at the Piercehaven dairy, a structure that still stands to this day and is over 100 years old.
While simple and basic in a world of AI generated images, the logo serves as a reminder of hard work, dedication, ethics, quality and determination. All values that have been instilled for many, many generations in the Pierce family; values that Piercehaven LLC™ brings to all clients and all jobs.
